As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Drawing on four decades of experience in his field, Mr. Poletto has earned distinction for his success as a real estate brokerage owner and broker in his involvement of over $6.75 billion in luxury residential transactions in south Florida. In his current capacity, he co-leads a team within ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.
Over the years he has represented the sale of some of the most iconic south Florida oceanfront, intracoastal, country club and estate properties.
Mr. Poletto began his career handling project sales for a Boca Raton developer. Years later, while working for the developer of St Andrews Country Club, he met his future business partner, Mark Nestler, with whom he formed Nestler Poletto Realty in 1989. For years their company was the leading country club brokerage firm in South Palm Beach County, in addition to a construction, mortgage and title company they founded and operated. In 2007, he and his business partner were the 100th company to join the Sotheby’s International Realty brand, which they operated under until selling the company to Miami based ONE Sotheby’s Realty in 2018. In 2021, Mr. Poletto and business partner of 34 years Mark Nestler, were honored as the Top 100 within the Sotheby’s International Realty organization worldwide. Over the years he has represented the sale of some of the most iconic south Florida oceanfront, intracoastal, country club and estate properties.
Mr. Poletto holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from The George Washington University. As an avid runner, golfer, tennis player and skier, he attributes much of his success to his competitive nature and attention to detail. His father and grandfather had businesses in Detroit, where he learned first-hand how to treat people with honesty and integrity. He also credits his Christian faith, which has and continues to guide him in his personal and business life.
Outside of work, Mr. Poletto is an active member of his church, where he has served in many capacities including being a deacon. Over the years, he has been involved both corporately and personally in many south Florida charitable organizations and causes. In 2017, he helped in the creation of A New Generation 4 Haiti, a 501(c)(3) which has and continues to provide kindergarten through 8th grade education for children and vocational classes for adults in the country’s southwest city of Les Cayes, Haiti. Mr. Poletto and his wife Sallie have been married for 37 years and have two daughters and two grandchildren to date.
